Located in
the north of Paris, the Ile-de-France delegation was founded in January 2007
with the aim of promoting volunteering in urban or peri-urban areas. From the
teeming cultural activity of the big Parisian suburbs to the beautiful
landscapes of the villages in the area which appealed to the major
impressionists, Ile-de-France will surprise you with its diversity and
dynamism. It is in this context that you will contribute to the creation of
local structures intended to welcome and promote educational, artistic or sport
volunteer work. Convinced as you are that intercultural relations generate solidarity,
you will implement and take part, besides manual work, in cultural activities
in order to build relationships with the local populations and make the work
camp part of local and sustainable development.
Activity :
11 international workcamps in 2011 and 40 realized from the opening
of Ile de France office in 2007, some had as a follow up a long term volunteer
project, through the Civil Service or the European Volunteer Service.
